Welcome to 'Opulence in the Outback'

On Saturday 17th March, 2012 the dust settles and the setting sun bathes the paddocks in a magnificent golden glow the whirr of machinery is replaced by the buzz of excitement. The days dirt is washed away and work boots are replaced by stilettos, while the customary jeans and flanny shirt make way for tuxedo's and ball gowns. This transformation marks the start of a night to remember.

As you our guest arrive to the paddock in the "middle of nowhere" you will certainly not be ready for the impressive site that greets you. A huge marquee, brilliant white in contrast to the red dirt and golden stubble that it raises from and a plush red carpet fit for royalty offer the promise of a luxurious gala night full of celebration and extravagance.

In the Spirit of Celebration, a group of locals are planning an event-to-remember in celebration of the "Year of the Farmer", with proceeds going towards the Royal Flying Doctor - Western Operations and the St John Ambulance - North Midlands Sub Branch.

'Opulence in the Outback' is our way of thanking our local producers and helping to lift the profile of farmers in our region - not to mention offering the perfect setting for our farmers to enjoy a well earned evening of opulence and entertainment surrounded by their peers and supporters.

This is 'Opulence in the Outback' and you are invited to be a part of it.

The Event

Over 350 guests are expected to attend 'Opulence in the Outback' on Saturday 17th March, 2012. Australian "Year of the Farmer"

In 2012, we celebrate the Australian Year of the Farmer. It recognizes what farmers do for all Australians. It's about what we eat; about fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, grains, fish, meat, eggs and about wool, cotton, timber - all the fine quality products that our farmers grow and harvest in large and small businesses.

In our region, farming and agriculture is synonymous with our way of life. Most of us are either farmers ourselves, come from a farming background or serve the agricultural industry in one way or another. The Year of the Farmer, gives us the perfect opportunity to show our respect and acknowledge the important impact our local farmers have on our community, region, state, nation and even the world.
